Well  my name is Ashley Gerrior and I live in Bakersfield California. I heard about your web site when I was looking for information on GA1 for my blog on myspace , I have a 1 year old son named Jacob  who was diagnosed with GA1 in November 07,   My son hasn't had any surgeries or major complications so for, but has had to be in the hospital for over a month with no one knowing what's wrong with him,  It took the doctors 6 months to figure out what my baby had.I'm still learning a lot about GA1 and I think its great that there's a web site to help and educate people about this disorder. Jacob  went from being a regular baby who was walking and talking and then when he got sick he could not even stand or hold his head up. My baby today is on the right medication and now he's doing great, he's walking and talking and being destructive with his older brother, but we still have our bad days. Jacob also has hypertension and is on two different types of blood pressure medications. The doctors aren't sure still if his hypertension is related to his GA1.  If you would like to hear more about my son I would be happy to tell you.
